Irish cake

This was a exciting one for me to make as I have a strong irish background. Weather wasnt that nice to me as it was humid and found my figure on its back after a humid night next time it will go straight into fridge but normally its not a problem. Customer was delighted and that just made my day.

Hockey Cake

Everyday you learn something new is a good day - Hockey in australia is way different to ice hockey that they use a ball and not a puck and the shape of the sticks are different!!

wedding cake take 2

Matt and Karen asked me to make another wedding cake for a BBQ get together so I just had to make this one look girly as the other one was a cricket cake. I love the vibrant red

Helicoptor cake

Helicopter cakes are not as easy as they look but did have fun making this apart from my household critics were telling me what I should and shouldnt do!
They do give some constructive critisim but sometimes you just dont want it when you are trying to work something out lol
I did have to do a little repair in the morning the tail was a little bit long for the support so I had to make it a little shorter so it didnt look like the helicopter crashed. These were the photo's before the tail did a dive during the night- tail was made from LCM bars so it was lighter. The blades also rotate. In this Video you can see them in action this was done after the repairs so the end product.

Manchester United shirt

Ben is 14 (where did the time go?)

I really needed a little bit of help with this cake as I was quite tired from a busy week so caleb to the rescue!  He is airbrushing it, he made the tick and cut out the name and letters for the shirt. Ben and family loved it.

What a whirlwind of a week sports carnival for me at school and then making this cake for Sarah and then back for more sports on friday phew! I must say all ovens have there hotspots and I was the unlucky one to find mine on thursday when 5 of my lovely cupcakes had a black bottom oops, and to boot I didnt have anymore hotpink muffin cases so in future I will make sure I have more than I need. I was just lucky it was late night shopping and I could buy more. I love my cupcake stand it looks great for something I made myself! Enjoy.

Photo cake - Guitar

Do you ever just have one of those days where things dont seem to go right? Well that was me Thursday and Friday. This is a lovely simple cake but for me turned out to take that bit longer than needed. Thankfully it all turned out in the end. One thing I learned always have back up plan and make more than you might need. (one of my guitar snapped of but I had done too many so that was a life saver)
