Photo cake - Guitar

Do you ever just have one of those days where things dont seem to go right? Well that was me Thursday and Friday. This is a lovely simple cake but for me turned out to take that bit longer than needed. Thankfully it all turned out in the end. One thing I learned always have back up plan and make more than you might need. (one of my guitar snapped of but I had done too many so that was a life saver)

It must be the type of week most of us seem to be having. First cake for this weekend I had the wrong age on it which wasnt my fault. Second cake I spelt the childs name wrong oops- although the mum forgot to tell me but I could have looked on Facebook to check. So madly dashing to fix up the mistake in front of the customer which I am sorry for but glad it was easy fixed- its just a no no to get the wrong spelling on your own cake and its a surprise cake. So you will have to wait until tonight before I post picture up as I dont want the teenager to see before her party, I do hope she loves it!!

Strawberry Shortcake

My blog is the first place to see this sneek peek of my next cake Figure for my Strawberry shortcake Cake.

The cake will be made from a strawberry swirl cake with fresh strawberries. Ahh I can smell it now as I am doing a test batch.

Need to make alterations to this cake the age is meant to be 5 not 6 and going to put a banner in between strawberry shortcake hands with the childs name will add photo when completed. I have really enjoyed making this cake. Just too cute!

Pac-man another all time fav from childhood.

Boy was my hands sore after all the piping on this cake!! Was not too hard except all the pipe work took me 3 hours to complete

Wow this was a fun cake to make! It took 3 hours to decorate as it looks easy but there was lots of details on here.

Dolly varden cake - Swinging 50's cake

This is a 2 tier cake it was a 50's themed cake with the bottom layer had groves into the cake like a record. Dolly Varden Cake is the technical term of this cake which never goes out of fashion there is so many different ways you can decoarte a cake like this.
